Singing with Robots: Intro to AI Music

Join music and tech guru Alex Tichane for an intro to the exciting field of AI music generation. Advances in AI technology are fundamentally reshaping the world we live in and how we interact with it.

Music and media creation today is vastly different than it was only a few years ago. In this workshop students will learn some of the principles behind and practical uses for AI technology in music production, mixing, arrangement, songwriting, and marketing. The aim is to provide students with a functional knowledge base empowering them to produce their own musical content with AI.

Alex Tichane is a composer, producer, and engineer. Upon finishing an MFA in Music Composition from SUNY Purchase he went on to work in TV, Film, and live events. He was a member of the creative team that produced the Eisner Nominated graphic novel “Big Black: Stand At Attica” and was a member of the Attica Committee which marked the 50th Year Remembrance of the 1971 prison uprising.
