SUMMARY:Digital Collage with Free Android Apps with Lisa Marie Mercer
DESCRIPTION:What is Digital Collage?\n• Digital Collage vs Photo manipulation\n• Mental Benefits of Digital Collage Creation\n• Finding Your Creative Niche\n• Where to Find Public Domain Images\n• List of Free Android Apps and What They Do\n• The Fine Art of Background Removal\n• Fun With Clipart\n• Filters\, Textures\, Overlays\n• Color Saturation: Matching Your Mood \n• Light and Contrast\n• Choosing Color Palettes: Matching Your Mood\, Making a Message\n• Sharpen or Soften?\n• Adding Text\n• To Frame or Vignette? That is the Question\n• Putting it all Together\n• Edit and Evaluate: How does the collage make you feel? How to fix it\n• Does Size Matter?\n• Printing: canvas\, posters\, wearable art\n• List of Print On Demand Resources \nAbout Lisa Marie Mercer: \nLisa is an artist whose journey to self-discovery blossomed unusually late in life\, was born and raised in the culturally rich tapestry of New York City. Her childhood was steeped in the arts\, with weekend excursions to museums\, plays\, and concerts forming the backdrop of her upbringing. Despite this artistic environment\, Lisa spent much of her life as a fitness instructor and a tour guide\, co-owning a web design business with her husband and writing about the history of Breckenridge\, Colorado. \nIt wasn’t until the age of 63\, after being diagnosed with epilepsy\, that Lisa unearthed her passion for art. A series of grand mal seizures stripped away her capacity to speak\, write\, and communicate. In this silence\, she found a new voice in digital collage. Sorting through the vast collection of images from her web design days\, she began to blend them much as she once did exercise techniques and recipes. She taught herself the art of digital collage\, immersing herself in research and the transformative exploration of digital collage apps. \nHer work draws inspiration from the Pre Raphaelite and Art Nouveau movements\, showcased through her love of color and beauty. Lisa’s creative process begins each day with curating images—a ritual that often culminates in a Eureka moment when inspiration strikes\, leading her to blend images into something uniquely her own. Her art is infused with the unexpected\, a reflection of her influences\, including Alphonse Mucha\, Lawrence Alma Tadema\, and John William Waterhouse. \nParticipating actively in the Gainesville Fine Arts Association and the Trinity United Methodist Art Committee\, Lisa is a frequent exhibitor at Artwalk Gainesville events. Her works are not confined to traditional galleries but find homes in local restaurants\, churches\, and medical centers. One of her most personally rewarding endeavors is her body of work titled “The Art of Epilepsy\,” which is displayed in the neurology unit of a local medical center. The successful designs she created for a bluegrass concert in Gainesville\, Florida\, illustrate further the joy she derives from her art\, seeing people adorn her creations on T-shirts. \nLisa has garnered accolades such as the Merit Award from the Gainesville Fine Arts Association and the Best Emerging Artist award from the Oak Hammock Art Show. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArtsee Wellness

SUMMARY:Sound and Health through Music - with Michael Braudy
DESCRIPTION:In this workshop Michael Braudy guides participants into a place of deep relaxation within. We pay attention to our breathing and to the effect of the music as it calms and focuses our bodies and minds\, and to the moments of quiet between the periods of music. Michael plays Indian ragas\, Celtic music and Bach on the violin\, and invites us to sing together to enliven the overall experience. No singing experience is required and participation is voluntary. The short periods of silence between the musical experiences reduce stress\, deepen breathing\, and calm the emotions and mind. Participants report a relaxed body and mind\, deeper and slower breathing\, and awareness of the vibration of the music in the body. \n\n\n\nAbout Michael Braudy: A violinist in Western\, North Indian and Celtic music\, Micheal gives Sound and Health through Music workshops which use the silence between musical experiences as a way to greater awareness of the body\, emotions and mind. A versatile performer and improviser\, he has collaborated with vocalists\, storytellers\, and poets\, and performed in the US\, England\, Scotland and India\, including the International Festival in Jaipur. His recordings include a series of Indian ragas for health\, including Sumanas (Ragas for the Heart)\, Vriddhi and Awakening Peace. \n\n\n\nSee more about Michael at https://artsee.app/artist/michaelbraudy
